Jacqueline
Koo, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified surgeon who comes to Peninsula
Eye Physicians with fellowship training in corneal diseases, refractive
surgery, cataract surgery and glaucoma. A Bay Area native, Dr. Koo
was a National Merit Semi-Finalist at Gunn High School in Palo Alto.
She graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Koo was
in top 10% of her medical school class at Boston University in 1999.
Dr. Koo also has a Masters of Public Health from the University of
California at Berkeley. After her ophthalmology residency at Boston
University Medical Center, Dr. Koo went onto one of the top eye fellowships
in the country where she trained with Dr. Richard Lindstrom. She has
participated in F.D.A. trials and clinical studies on new eye technologies.
In 2004, Dr. Koo published “Office Ophthalmic Procedures”
a handbook for eye care professionals. She is married to Edward Sun,
MD, who is a spine surgeon at Mills-Peninsula.
