Dr. Aarthi Vinca
Dr. Aarthi Vinca, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a focus on cataract and glaucoma surgery, refractive vision correction, and complete eye exams.
Dr. Vinca earned her undergraduate degree with honors in Physiology from the University of Illinois, and her medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School. She subsequently conducted clinical research in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She did her residency at University of Buffalo, where she was chosen to be chief resident. She finished her clinical training with a fellowship in Glaucoma at University Eye Specialists, affiliated with Northwestern University.
Following clinical training, Dr. Vinca spent seven years practicing Ophthalmology in Chicago before moving to the Bay Area. She was well-established at her private practice in Chicago and also enjoyed her work as a Clinical Instructor for Ophthalmology Residents at Northwestern University. She has a passion for service work, and has participated in cataract surgical mission trips to Mexico.
Dr. Vinca is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Glaucoma Society, and the Peninsula Eye Society. She is committed to providing meticulous and compassionate patient care.
When not at work, Dr. Vinca and her husband David enjoy exploring the Peninsula with their children. Some of their favorite adventures have been hiking Sawyer Camp Trail and Mori Point, and getting their hands dirty at the CuriOdyssey center for kids.
